Triangle box

Ok here we go, this was the box we did at my first ever party (my sister Sarah-Jayne was hostess and Abi Bundy was the demonstrator) Its a triangle shaped favor box (about large enough to stick a couple of sweets in, a stampin spot, or a small stamp)

You will need:
  • A peice of Card stock, 15cm X 10.5cm(Orchid Opulence)
  • Scoring and Cutting tool
  • A hole punch (i use a crop-a-dile)
  • Ribbon (at least 20cm for a bow)
  • Scrap card for a motif or saying
  • Stamp sets and inks of your choice

Step 1.

Take your 15cm X 10.5cm peice of card and score down the middle of the 15cm side (at 7.5cm)

Step 2.
Score from that middle line to the short edges making a diamond shape in the middle. (It might help to make a pencil mark at the short side centre which is about 5.2cm)

Step 3.

Stamp the card (if desired) i have used petals roller and Elegant Eggplant ink, rollers are a quick easy way of decorating this box.

Step 4.
Using your crop-a-dile (or hole punch equivilant) punch a hole about 1cm into the corner.

Repeat on all 4 corners

Step 5.

Decorate one of the large flat edges with your emblem making sure that the small triangle corners are above the logo and the logo is the right way up! ( i have used a combination of two stamps from the set "yummy" which is a sale-a-bration set using the stamp-a-ma-jig for assistance)

Step 6.

This is probably the hardest part of the box, ribboning it.

Going from the diagonal corners thread your ribbon from the inside (non stamped side) to the outside

Tread the ribbon from iside out to the corner above/below, making sure the holes are one on top of the other giving a flat finish

Step 7.

Tie ends together in a bow (mine is a knot as i cut my ribbon too short)

Step 8.
voila!
Hey
I have some awesome tutorials for you coming up, it will mainly be boxes and notebooks and unusual things to do with cards and stamps but they will have to wait until the hubby comes home with the camera as at the moment I am cameraless meaning it would be useless. Most of my resources come from Split Coast Stampers, the main difference is ill be doing them in English!
